General Information

IS THERAPY RIGHT FOR ME?

Psychotherapy is an effective tool for many people. It works best for those who have some motivation for change and who are interested in talking through their issues in order to gain insight into their behaviors. Therapy is a two-way street and while the therapist will offer insights and helpful tools, it is up to the client to decide to utilize what they learn in therapy in their everyday lives. I work with individuals in the state of Georgia with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, perinatal mental health, and substance use disorders. Contact me and we can discuss whether my services would be a good fit for you.

IS ONLINE THERAPY EFFECTIVE?

Studies have shown that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy. In order for therapy to be as effective as possible, I recommend video sessions rather than phone sessions. However, if audio-only sessions are something you would prefer, I can offer this option. Currently, I do not provide in-person therapy.

FEES

The regular fees for my services are as follows. Please let me know if you are experiencing financial hardship and we can discuss options.

  • 10-15 minute phone consultation: Free

  • 30-minute individual therapy session: $70

  • 60-minute individual therapy session: $130

  • 90-minute individual therapy session: $180

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Peace of Mind Psychotherapy is “in-network” with the following insurance companies: Aetna, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. All major credit cards and checks are also accepted. If your insurance plan covers “out-of-network” providers, I can provide you with an invoice, commonly known as a “Superbill” to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of services.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I require notification of at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel a scheduled therapy session. Effective February 1st, 2024, all missed appointments will be billed directly to you at a rate of $60. Insurance companies do not cover those charges.
